Victoria is a director of Leaker Partners and is an experienced commercial lawyer with a focus on helping businesses with everyday legal issues and preparing user-friendly documentation for them. She is known for developing long-lasting relationships with her clients by developing a deep understanding of their business and their needs.
She has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New England and after having spent time living and working in Tokyo, relocated to Perth in 2008.
Victoria specialises in advising clients on the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (PPSA) including identifying PPSA exposures in a business, reviewing and drafting PPSA compliant security agreements and registering on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR). Victoria regularly writes in the firm’s ‘From the Back’ newsletter and conducts seminars on the PPSA. She provides clients with in-house training on the PPSR.
Victoria also advises landlords and tenants on commercial, industrial, rural and retail leasing, drafting terms and conditions of trade, distribution agreements, loan and security agreements and commercial contracts generally.
Victoria comes from country New South Wales and supports the Blues in the State of Origin (she has faith that they'll get the Cup back sometime in the next century). Although not born in Western Australia, she came for a visit and never left, falling in love with the people, culture and lifestyle.
Out of the office she is a keen runner and enjoys participating in charity runs including the HBF Run For A Reason, Swan River 10km and the City to Surf.
